Coincidences

I don’t believe in coincidences when it comes to certain things, especially politics. We’re constantly told that the president and his cabal conspired with the Russians and other shadowy figures to swing the 2016 election his way. The Mueller investigation was supposed to look into Russian interference in the election, possible collusion with the Trump campaign, and possible obstruction of justice in the firing of FBI Director James Comey.

There has been no credible evidence to date of any wrongdoing by the Trump campaign or anyone close to the president (Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen have legal/criminal issues not related to the campaign). Ironically, what has come out of all of this has been a slow steady drip of information that paints a completely different picture of what occurred in the runup to the election and its aftermath:

1.       Sessions recusal. The Attorney General quoted incorrect policy in justifying his recusal on the Russia matter. The question is, who steered him in that direction?

2.       Memo urging the firing of James Comey. Who was the author of the document and what was the impetus behind it? Who were the endorsers of this document? If DAG Rosenstein had a hand in the creation or vetting of the memo, would it not stand to reason that he would face a conflict of interest in appointing Robert Mueller to investigate Comey’s firing?

3.       Stefan Halper. He shares connections with no less than three individuals in the Trump orbit: Sam Clovis, George Papadopoulos, and Carter Page. Michael Flynn, and Michael Caputo were also approached by other individuals with ties to the government. Why were these individuals being targeted?

4.       Natalia Veselnitskaya. The lawyer at the center of the meeting at Trump Tower and claims of collusion.  She has yet to be interviewed by Robert Mueller. If FOX could get around to interviewing her, then why hasn’t he and his staff done so as well?

5.       Julian Assange. Another centerpiece of the Russia investigation. He has never been interviewed by any government committee or entity (with the exception of Congressman Dana Rohrbacher). The one attempt at outreach by the FBI was quashed by none other than James Comey. This would have given Assange limited immunity if he divulged the source of the hacked DNC emails, as well as turn over classified documents given to him by certain individuals who had been in the employ of the federal government (either directly or indirectly).

6.       Nellie Ohr obtained a ham radio operator’s license in May of 2016. What reason was there for her to get one? Her husband, Bruce Ohr, was the fourth highest ranking official at DOJ. She worked for Fusion GPS, the organization behind the now discredited Trump dossier that was used as the primary document to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on Carter Page. Additionally, was the address listed on the license really Mrs. Ohr’s residence?

7.       FISA court. The government went to the court four separate times for warrants using the aforementioned dossier. Portions of the dossier were leaked to media outlets who penned stories that were used to supplement the dossier as independently verified info. Given what is coming to light, will the court investigate what could possibly be a case of fraud perpetrated against it by DOJ and the FBI?

8.       Unmasking of Trump associates. As a result of the wiretaps obtained via FISA warrants, several individuals in the Trump orbit had their names made public. These actions are normally undertaken when they are in the national security interest. There was no such justification that could be made by these unmaskings. Who were the parties behind it?

We’ve been told by the left and their shills in the mainstream media that there is no smoking gun to show that there was any sort of conspiracy to get the president. Yet they’re the very same folks who crow about every single revelation that might possibly complicate things for the president as the smoking gun that will bring about his eventual downfall.

Newsflash, any good investigator will tell you that there seldom if ever is a smoking gun that implicates anyone. It’s usually tough, tedious detective work that goes through fits, starts, dead ends and the like before being able to produce any sort of credible evidence.  As stated earlier, the steady drip, drip, drip of info coming out of the events listed above will show us a few things about our government that we’ve been slow to recognize and acknowledge. None of it good. In the words of Lord Acton “power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely”.
